Converge shifts focus to enterprise, strengthens B2B leadership

Converge Information and Communications Technology Solutions Inc. is speeding up its shift from being mainly a fiber internet provider to becoming a full technology company, driven by growing demand from large businesses and enterprises.

The company is expanding its business-to-business (B2B) services, highlighted by the launch of its Converge Global Business headquarters in November. To strengthen this push, Converge appointed Dindo Marzan to lead its SME Business Group. Marzan brings more than 20 years of experience in building and scaling technology platforms across different markets. Before joining Converge, he was chief operating officer of fintech firm BayaniPay, where he helped grow the company to $200 million in gross transaction value and led its North America expansion.

Marzan will focus on growing revenues, forming partnerships, and strengthening Converge’s position in the SME market. He previously held leadership roles at several major technology and media companies, including Globe Telecom and ABS-CBN.

Converge also named Grace Jarin-Castillo, a veteran enterprise executive with more than 35 years of experience, to help expand its corporate data and enterprise services. She is known for building enterprise businesses offering data centers, cloud, managed services, and mobility solutions.

Financially, Converge reported a net income of P8.9 billion for the first nine months of the year, up 8.4 percent from the same period last year. Revenues rose 10.1 percent to P33 billion.

Residential revenues grew 9.1 percent to P27.7 billion, supported by nearly 2.93 million subscribers. Enterprise revenues increased faster, climbing 16.2 percent to P5.2 billion, with strong double-digit growth from SME and wholesale customers.
