President Donald Trump said the US has “captured” Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, and flown them out of the country following what he described as “large-scale” U.S. strikes. Venezuela’s government earlier accused Washington of attacking civilian and military sites across multiple states, rejecting what it called “military aggression” and declaring a national emergency. US Attorney General Pamela Bondi said on X that Maduro and Flores face charges in a New York court, including narco-terrorism conspiracy, cocaine importation, and weapons offenses.
