ABB powers PH’s first AI-ready hyperscale data center

ABB is supplying a full electrification system for VITRO Santa Rosa, the Philippines’ first AI-ready hyperscale data center, located in Laguna. The 50-megawatt facility is designed for high reliability, energy efficiency, and future AI growth, as the country becomes one of the world’s fastest-growing data center markets.

Built to meet international Tier III standards with Tier IV readiness, the data center is designed for continuous operation of critical workloads. It features multiple independent fiber connections for network resilience and follows sustainability practices aligned with LEED standards. Working with local partner Distribution & Control Products, Inc. (DCPI), ABB delivered medium- and low-voltage power equipment to ensure stable power supply and allow the facility to scale as demand for AI, cloud, and digital services increases.

Executives from ABB, DCPI, and VITRO said the project highlights the importance of combining global technology with local expertise, and marks a major step in strengthening the Philippines’ digital infrastructure and readiness for AI-driven growth.
