The Philippine job market is about to get a digital jolt.
Online job portal Jobstreet by SEEK predicts that technology-driven roles will take center stage in 2026, as companies embrace artificial intelligence, automation, and data-driven workflows.
For jobseekers, coding chops, analytical skills, and digital savvy could be the golden ticket.
“Organizations are looking for candidates who can thrive in AI-powered processes,” Jobstreet said, highlighting the rising demand for upskilled, tech-ready professionals. But it’s not all about software and systems—flexibility and values matter too.
Candidates are increasingly favoring companies that offer remote or hybrid setups and prioritize ESG, diversity, and inclusion.
Looking back at 2025, Jobstreet’s In-demand Jobs Wrapped report shows where the action has been. Administration and office support dominated 28.6 percent of postings, followed by engineering (10.2 percent), education and training (9.2 percent), and call center/customer service (9.1 percent). ICT roles clocked in at 6.6 percent, with accounting, sales, logistics, retail, and marketing rounding out the top categories.
Many of these roles are expected to remain in demand throughout 2026.
Jobseekers themselves were busy swiping, clicking, and applying. Call center and customer service candidates led the pack at 12.3 percent, followed by hospitality and tourism (9.8 percent), manufacturing/logistics (8 percent), ICT (7.5 percent), and engineering (6.5 percent).
Year 2026 favors professionals who combine tech fluency with adaptability and a sense of purpose. Companies that can offer both meaningful work and flexible arrangements will have a competitive edge, while jobseekers who upgrade skills and embrace digital tools are poised to land—and thrive in—the roles of tomorrow.
