    Finance Secretary Go sworn in as Monetary Board Member

    Finance Secretary Frederick D. Go has officially joined the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP) Monetary Board, the country’s top policy-making body for monetary and financial matters. He took his oath today at the BSP Head Office, administered by BSP Governor and Monetary Board Chairman Eli M. Remolona Jr.

    President Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. designated Secretary Go as the Cabinet representative to the board, replacing former Finance Secretary Ralph G. Recto. Other board members include Benjamin E. Diokno, Romeo L. Bernardo, Rosalia V. De Leon, Jose L. Querubin, and Walter C. Wassmer.

    Before leading the Department of Finance, Go served as Special Assistant to the President for Investment and Economic Affairs, coordinating the country’s economic and investment policies and working with key agencies including the DOF, Department of Trade and Industry, and Securities and Exchange Commission.

    Go also has extensive private-sector experience, having been CEO of Robinsons Land Corp. and holding leadership roles in industries such as banking, retail, media, and power. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Management Engineering from Ateneo de Manila University.
