Filipino artisan brand LIKHA has officially entered rarefied retail air: Nordstrom.
Last month, the handcrafted lifestyle label quietly—but confidently—made its debut at the US luxury department store, placing Philippine-made pieces alongside global fashion, beauty, and premium home brands.
For a company rooted in village workshops and heritage techniques, it’s a leap worth noting.
The launch drew applause from the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), through the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC) in New York, which hailed the partnership as a milestone for Filipino brands breaking into major US retail channels. Translation: this isn’t just a win for LIKHA—it’s a signal moment for Philippine craftsmanship on the world stage.
LIKHA’s Nordstrom collection spans handwoven home décor, statement accents, jewelry, and accessories designed for the globally minded, ethically inclined consumer.
Think sculptural baskets, playful animal planters, and shell jewelry that feels both beachy and refined. Every piece is handmade by Filipino artisans using natural, locally sourced materials such as abaca, seagrass, palm, coconut coir, shells, sustainably harvested wood, and upcycled agricultural by-products.
The brand is Fair Trade and People & Planet First certified, and it wears those credentials without preaching. As LIKHA put it on social media:
“Every piece is handcrafted by artisans across the Philippines using natural, locally sourced materials, with fair wages and heritage craft at the heart of it all.” The mission, the brand added, is simple—champion Filipino artisans on a bigger stage and prove that good design and real impact can coexist.
DTI noted that LIKHA’s Nordstrom debut reflects its broader push, through PTICs worldwide, to expand market access for artisan-made products, promote sustainable design, and elevate modern Filipino craftsmanship globally.
Now available on Nordstrom’s website and in select stores, LIKHA’s ethically made pieces offer shoppers more than décor—they offer a story, woven by hand, and finally told at scale.
