Online gaming operator HHR Philippines Inc., through its brand Buenas PH, has partnered with leading gaming influencers in the country to steer players away from illegal and unregulated gambling sites.
The collaboration brings together Buenas PH and well-known gaming personalities, including YGS Live founder and eSports pioneer Julius Mariano, to promote responsible content creation and protect viewers from scam platforms. The partners said the move aims to raise awareness about the risks of unlicensed gambling and encourage creators to work only with regulated operators.
Mariano said most online gambling platforms targeting Filipinos are unregulated, with only a small number operating under government licenses. He noted that some illegal sites gain credibility through influencer promotions, making it harder for viewers to tell which platforms are legitimate. By working exclusively with Buenas PH, creators can help reduce the reach of these illegal operators and protect the gaming community.
HHR Philippines president Anthony Manguiat said the partnership goes beyond entertainment and focuses on building a safer and more transparent online gaming environment. He added that Buenas PH is also encouraging influencers who previously promoted illegal sites to move into the regulated space.
Both sides stressed that the collaboration sets an important example for the industry, showing how influencer reach can be used to support consumer protection, promote ethical practices, and help shape a more responsible and sustainable online gaming sector in the Philippines.
