Megaworld brings AI-powered homes in Philippines

As artificial intelligence reshapes daily life, Megaworld is rolling out AI-powered homes in the Philippines, offering developments that are intuitive, responsive, and aligned with modern lifestyles.

The rollout begins at select Megaworld properties, starting with Park McKinley West in Taguig City, through a partnership with Samsung, which will integrate a comprehensive AI ecosystem into these next-generation homes.

Megaworld’s AI-powered homes go beyond basic automation.

Using the Samsung SmartThings ecosystem—a central digital hub—residents can control and personalize their living spaces via a single app. Intelligent routines adapt to time, weather, device status, and user behavior, allowing homes to anticipate occupants’ needs seamlessly. Features include intelligent climate control, adaptive lighting, and voice-activated command centers, all optimized for energy efficiency.

“Innovation is central to Megaworld’s vision of shaping future-ready communities. Our AI-powered homes redefine residential living by enhancing comfort, safety, and sustainability,” said Francis Viernes, head of business innovation and transformation at Megaworld.

Buyers of Megaworld condos can opt to integrate devices such as TVs, washing machines, and air conditioners into the SmartThings platform. This builds on the company’s iTownships initiative, which nearly a decade ago introduced smart living by combining design innovation, connectivity, and digital technology.

Industry observers note the timing is strategic: nearly half of Filipino households now use AI-powered tools weekly, with Gen Z leading adoption at 52 percent, according to London-based Public First. This rising familiarity with AI could accelerate demand for homes that are pre-equipped with intelligent, connected features, positioning Megaworld at the forefront of the local prop-tech wave.

With AI integration moving from novelty to expectation, Megaworld is betting that smart, responsive homes will not only appeal to tech-savvy buyers but also raise the bar for modern residential developments in the country.
