Isuzu tightens grip on Philippine trucks market

Isuzu Philippines Corporation extended its dominance of the local commercial vehicle industry, securing its position as the country’s number one truck brand for the 26th straight year in 2025, based on joint industry data from the Chamber of Automotive Manufacturers of the Philippines and the Truck Manufacturers Association.

The company closed the year with 4,794 trucks sold, translating to a commanding 42.2 percent market share and a 4.4 percent year on year increase, underscoring Isuzu’s resilience in an increasingly competitive and cost sensitive transport market.

Riding on continued infrastructure spending, logistics expansion, and more complex business requirements nationwide, IPC said it remains bullish on industry growth. It plans to roll out integrated business solutions that bundle durable products, digital platforms, enhanced aftersales support, and customer focused services designed to improve fleet uptime and long term operating efficiency.

IPC also notched another Triple Crown, leading sales across Category III, IV, and V trucks, covering light, medium, and heavy duty segments.

“Earning the trust of Filipino customers for 26 consecutive years reflects our commitment to reliability and total ownership experience,” IPC President Mikio Tsukui said, adding that value creation continues well beyond the point of sale.

In Category III, IPC maintained its 27 year leadership with 2,814 units sold and a 41.5 percent market share, driven by the versatile N Series.

Category IV sales reached 1,647 units for a 44.6 percent share, fueled by strong demand for the F Series.

Category V deliveries climbed 36 percent to 333 units, led by the S and E Series supporting large logistics and infrastructure projects.

Sustained public works and e-commerce growth should keep fleet replacement cycles active through the near term.
