Globe Telecom said Monday it expects solid growth in 2026, driven by continued demand for mobile data and fiber broadband services, even as its earnings slipped slightly last year.
The Ayala-led telco said it is targeting mid-single-digit revenue growth next year, banking on strong mobile data usage, the good performance of its G-Fiber prepaid service, and the steady expansion of its enterprise business. Globe said it is confident it can carry over the momentum seen in the fourth quarter into 2026.
In 2025, Globe’s total revenues declined by 1.3 percent to P178.24 billion, while net income fell by 4 percent to P23.3 billion. Core net income, which excludes one-off items, also slipped to P20.9 billion from P21.5 billion a year earlier.
Despite the softer results, Globe’s core businesses showed resilience. Its mobile segment posted a record P116.9 billion in service revenues in 2025, slightly higher than the previous year, supported by an 8 percent increase in subscribers to 65.8 million.
The Globe At Home broadband business generated P24 billion in revenues, up 1 percent, as growing fiber subscriptions offset the decline in older fixed wireless services. The corporate data business also hit a record, with revenues rising 1 percent to P20.7 billion, signaling a stabilization in enterprise spending.
Revenues from Globe’s non-telco businesses fell 12 percent to P2.3 billion, weighed down by weaker advertising and lower contributions from some units.
Overall, Globe said its strong performance in mobile data, fiber, and enterprise services positions the company well for renewed growth in 2026.
