LG Electronics Philippines has opened the call for entries for the 2026 LG Ambassador Challenge, inviting changemakers, community leaders, and organizations nationwide to submit project proposals that will benefit a new underserved community, with a strong focus on medical aid and community healthcare.
Now in its fourth year locally, the LG Ambassador Challenge is the company’s flagship corporate social responsibility program in the Philippines. Launched in 2022 in partnership with Korea Friends of Hope International, the initiative provides funding and support to individuals and groups with community-led projects that address urgent social needs in a sustainable way. The program reflects LG’s global “Life’s Good” philosophy by encouraging communities to identify their own challenges and lead solutions that improve quality of life and create long-term impact.
According to LG Electronics Philippines managing director Nakhyun Seong, the challenge allows LG to work closely with communities and partners to support initiatives that bring real and lasting change. By providing resources and guidance, LG aims to help build stronger communities while reinforcing its commitment to innovation and social responsibility.
For the 2026 edition, LG will accept entries and conduct project selection from February 10 to 28. Priority will be given to proposals that address healthcare gaps in underserved communities, demonstrate strong community participation, and show the potential to continue delivering benefits beyond the initial support.
Since its launch, the LG Ambassador Challenge has backed a range of community projects, including a maternal and child healthcare program in Cavite in 2025, a mobile library for children in Laguna in 2024, solar street lights, clean water access, and livelihood initiatives in 2023, and its inaugural projects in 2022, which included providing an ambulance for pediatric cancer patients in Manila and supporting post-disaster recovery in Siargao.
LG Electronics Philippines said the challenge is important because it turns local ideas into practical solutions, empowering communities to improve healthcare access and overall well-being. Organizations and advocates with innovative and sustainable healthcare ideas are encouraged to join the 2026 LG Ambassador Challenge and help deliver meaningful change where it is needed most.
