ALLHC courts Taiwanese firms in industrial push

AyalaLand Logistics Holdings Corp. (ALLHC) led an investment mission to Taiwan earlier this month to promote the Philippines as a top destination for Taiwanese companies looking to expand in Southeast Asia.

The mission was organized in partnership with key government agencies, including the Philippine Economic Zone Authority (PEZA), the Philippine Trade and Investment Center (PTIC), and the Manila Economic and Cultural Office (MECO). Representatives from both the public and private sectors joined the initiative.

During meetings and forums, the Philippine delegation highlighted the country’s growing industrial sector, skilled workforce, and business-friendly policies. Discussions focused on opportunities in advanced manufacturing, electronics, and other high-value industries where Taiwanese firms have strong global presence.

ALLHC presented its industrial developments, including the upcoming PEZA-registered phase of Pampanga Technopark. The expansion will offer facilities for manufacturing, logistics, and export-oriented operations, aimed at supporting Taiwanese firms entering or expanding in the Philippines.

The mission drew positive interest from Taiwanese investors, many of whom explored potential expansion plans. Shin-Etsu Magnetics Philippines, which operates in Laguna Technopark and employs 4,500 workers, shared its growth story and cited the quality of Filipino talent as a key factor in its success.

ALLHC chief operating officer Patrick Avila said the strong response from investors shows that the Philippines is well positioned to support global manufacturers seeking long-term growth in the region.

The roadshow underscores efforts to strengthen economic ties between the Philippines and Taiwan and attract more foreign direct investments to boost industrial growth and job creation.
