Clark nets P6.83B, eyes global spotlight

Clark Development Corp. (CDC) generated P6.83 billion in revenues and P3.81 billion in net income in 2025, underscoring the sustained growth of the Clark Freeport as one of the country’s premier economic hubs.

Speaking at the 74th Induction and Turnover Ceremonies of JCI Angeles City Culiat held at Widus Hotel Clark on February 21, CDC President and CEO Agnes VST Devanadera said Clark now hosts 1,256 locators employing around 149,000 workers — a sign of the Freeport’s expanding footprint in job creation and investment generation.

Devanadera highlighted CDC’s P2.48-billion dividend remittance to the national government last year, emphasizing its role in funding public services. “These dividends are translated into public expenditures such as school buildings, social programs, and health facilities,” she said, pointing to the Freeport’s broader socioeconomic impact.

Clark is also gearing up for greater global visibility as it prepares to host the JCI World Congress in November 2026. The event is expected to draw about 6,000 delegates, marking the Philippines’ first time hosting the gathering since 1998 — a 28-year gap.

Positioning the event within Clark’s long-term growth strategy, Devanadera described the Clark Freeport Zone as a unique ecosystem. “Clark is the only freeport with an international airport,” she said, noting how industrial activity and tourism development “grow together,” allowing it to support both commerce and large-scale international events.

The Freeport’s rising profile was recently affirmed after it was named Asia’s Leading Meetings and Conference Destination for 2025 by the World Travel Awards.
