    Hospital alliances boost Etiqa’s credibility

Group medical insurer Etiqa Philippines is doubling down on trust, winning more than 50 Certificates of Good Standing from hospitals and clinics nationwide for 2025–2026, a strong signal of financial muscle and reliable claims payments in a competitive healthcare market.

The recognitions, spanning a network of over 1,500 partner providers, reinforce uninterrupted healthcare access and seamless cashless treatment for corporate clients. In practical terms, that means fewer billing disputes, faster approvals, and smoother admissions for employees covered under group plans.

The insurer said in a statement issued Sunday, February 22, that it logged more than 100 consecutive days with zero hospital suspensions, a metric closely watched in the industry as a barometer of settlement discipline. Leading institutions including Makati Medical Center and De La Salle Medical and Health Sciences Institute have cited long-standing collaborations and sector contributions, underscoring the insurer’s operational consistency.

The gains appear to be resonating with clients. Etiqa reported significantly improved customer sentiment, driven by service upgrades and stronger provider ties — key differentiators as employers scrutinize benefit partners amid rising medical inflation.

Beyond local partnerships, the company is leveraging global scale through its exclusive Philippine membership in Insurope, the world’s largest multinational pooling network for employee benefits. The alliance gives corporate clients access to global coverage, pooled dividends, higher free cover limits, and potential experience refunds, while spreading risk across borders.

Reinsurance backing has also strengthened. Etiqa was named a 2025 Top Partner by KRM Re during ceremonies at Discovery Primea in February 2026, highlighting enhanced claims-paying capacity.

President and CEO Anthony M. Bernabe said the milestones reflect partner confidence and a continued commitment to credibility, integrity, and responsible protection.
