In an industry where “fresh” is often a promise and rarely a proof point, Fishta Seafood is betting that receipts—digital ones—are the future of trust.
The premium seafood arm of Santeh Feeds Corp., Fishta is rolling out its 100 percent Traceable and Locally Sourced (TLS) initiative, a tech-powered system that tracks every fish from farm to family table. Backed by 35 years of aquaculture science, the company is aiming high: nothing less than a new “gold standard” for food safety in the Philippines.
The standard starts at harvest. Fish are humanely stunned in zero to minus one degree Celsius slurry ice water—cold enough to minimize stress, warm enough to avoid tissue damage.

From there, a strict zero to five degree cold chain slows bacterial growth during handling and transport. The finale? Blast freezing at minus eighteen degrees Celsius or lower, preventing large ice crystals and locking in moisture, texture, and nutrients. It’s less guesswork, more geometry.
Flagship product Golden Pompano anchors what Fishta calls its “Pompano Standard.” In support of the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources’ push to ease fingerling scarcity, the company positions pompano as a high-value alternative to bangus. Raised in low-density pens in Silanguin Bay, Zambales, and fed nutrient-rich formulations from Tateh Feeds, the fish develop firmer flesh and a naturally buttery finish.
Beyond process and product, Fishta is aligning with sustainability advocates such as Bluer Seas Philippines to reinforce a simple thesis: quality and responsibility should travel together.
In a market crowded with claims, Fishta’s message is clear—if you can trace it, test it, and freeze it right, you can trust it.
