Toyota Motor Philippines has been named the country’s “Top 2 Importer” for 2025 after remitting a record P52.517 billion in duties and taxes, marking the company’s highest annual contribution since its operations began.
The 2025 remittance reflects a 19.6 percent jump from the P43.91 billion recorded in 2024, underscoring TMP’s role as a major revenue contributor to the national coffers. The recognition was presented during the 124th Founding Anniversary of the Bureau of Customs on February 12 at the GSIS Gymnasium in Pasay City.
TMP holds an Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) Level 2 certification, granted by the BOC to companies that demonstrate high standards in customs compliance, internal controls, and supply chain security. This designation positions TMP as a low-risk, trusted trader, streamlining customs processes and reinforcing its commitment to regulatory excellence.
“Our substantial remittances not only support the BOC’s revenue collection efforts but also enhance trade facilitation across the Philippines,” TMP said, highlighting the dual impact of its operations.
Beyond national tax contributions, TMP continues to drive regional economic growth, particularly in Laguna, where its headquarters and manufacturing facilities are located. Through sustained investments and adherence to compliance standards, TMP bolsters both government revenues and the broader Philippine automotive sector.
The recognition cements TMP’s standing as a critical player in the country’s import landscape, demonstrating how corporate compliance and operational excellence can align with national economic priorities while contributing to industry development and regional prosperity.
