GSIS partners with PGEA to promote Ginhawa Go microloan for government workers

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) is partnering with the Philippine Government Employees Association (PGEA) to increase awareness of Ginhawa Go, its short-term microloan program for government employees.

GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso met with PGEA officers to discuss ways to reach more members, following a directive from Finance Secretary Frederick Go to expand information about the program.

Veloso said Ginhawa Go offers fast, affordable loans through the GSIS Touch mobile app, providing a safer alternative to high-interest borrowing for temporary financial needs. “It gives our members access to immediate support without exposing them to excessive interest and debt traps,” he added.

He emphasized the importance of partnerships in spreading information, urging PGEA, which has a network of nearly 500,000 government employees, to help cascade accurate information to members nationwide.

The meeting also covered the GSIS Speakers’ Bureau training, which equips PGEA members to facilitate seminars about GSIS programs and services in agencies across the country.

The discussion is part of ongoing consultations between GSIS and PGEA to keep employees informed and address their concerns. Veloso noted that “open dialogue strengthens trust and partnership between GSIS and the government workforce.”
