Insular Life (InLife), the country’s first and largest Filipino life insurance company, has partnered with Seafaring Family International (SeaFam) to promote financial wellness among Filipino seafarers and their families.
The partnership aims to provide financial education, guidance sessions, and access to insurance products tailored to the needs of seafarers. Through the program, eligible SeaFam members will also receive free insurance coverage via InLife’s digital platform.
InLife president and CEO Raoul Antonio E. Littaua said the initiative supports the company’s mission to help Filipinos achieve long-term financial security. He noted that seafarers play a vital role in the global workforce and deserve access to proper financial knowledge and protection.
SeaFam chairperson Arianne Rocha emphasized the challenges faced by families left at home while loved ones work at sea. She said financial preparedness is key to protecting not only income but also the family’s dignity and future, especially during unexpected events.
The collaboration is part of InLife’s financial wellness program, InLife@Work, which brings financial education and insurance solutions directly to workplaces and communities.
InLife@Work Head and chief risk officer Efren C. Caringal Jr. said the partnership will help make financial guidance more accessible to seafarers’ families and encourage them to take practical steps toward long-term financial stability.
