Omega accelerates USRN hiring push

Global healthcare services firm Omega Healthcare is stepping up recruitment of US-registered nurses (USRNs) in the Philippines, expanding operations in Manila and Cebu to meet rising demand for clinical support across the US healthcare system.

The company plans to grow its Philippine headcount to between 4,000 and 5,000 employees this year, underscoring the country’s deepening role in its global delivery network.

“The Philippines remains a strategic hub for our clinical and revenue cycle operations,” said Santosh Kesari, Country Manager of Omega Healthcare Philippines, citing the clinical expertise and professionalism of Filipino USRNs as a key competitive advantage.

Unlike traditional bedside roles, Omega’s USRN positions focus on non-bedside, technology-enabled clinical services. Nurses review medical records for medical necessity, support documentation and insurance authorization, prepare appeals, and coordinate with patients and providers to ensure appropriate treatment and coverage.

The hiring drive reflects sustained growth. Omega expanded its Philippine workforce from 2,200 employees in 2024 to 3,000 in 2025, scaling delivery centers in Manila and Cebu as USS healthcare providers lean more heavily on offshore clinical and revenue cycle support.

Company executives say the pitch to nurses goes beyond compensation. Structured onboarding, continuous professional development and defined leadership pathways form part of a broader retention strategy.

Competitive pay, comprehensive benefits and work-life balance initiatives are also emphasized, particularly for nurses seeking alternatives to hospital shift work.

Omega’s long-running presence in the country has drawn industry recognition, including the Katapatan Award for Distinguished Longevity and Enduring Partnership from the Healthcare Information Management Association of the Philippines.

The expansion signals a widening career track for Filipino USRNs, from bedside care to globally integrated clinical operations.
