Vietnamese EV maker VinFast is redrawing its roadmap, carving its automotive ambitions into a three-tier brand strategy topped by a new ultra-luxury push.
The restructuring formalizes three distinct lines: Lac Hong at the summit, the VF passenger EV portfolio at the core, and Green for commercial mobility. The move aims to sharpen brand identity as competition intensifies across global electric vehicle markets.
At the pinnacle sits Lac Hong, now expanded with two flagship additions — the 800S and 900S — joining the previously launched 900 LX. Commercial rollout is slated for 2027.

Drawing heavily on Vietnamese cultural heritage, both newcomers feature a bamboo-inspired grille and a wing-shaped emblem symbolizing the Lac bird. Decorative cues reference Dong Son bronze drums and terraced rice fields — a deliberate fusion of national identity and high-end craftsmanship.
Inside, the strategy shifts from symbolism to indulgence. Nappa leather, rare woods and gold-plated accents anchor the cabin experience, complemented by zero-gravity seating and advanced infotainment systems.
The 900S raises the bar further with a privacy partition, starlight headliner and executive workstation, cues aimed squarely at chauffeured elites.
Underneath, both models ride on a fully active suspension platform, with an optional tri-motor powertrain delivering up to 460 kW, performance credentials to match the opulence.
Beyond Lac Hong, VinFast’s VF lineup continues to span the mass market from the compact VF 3 to the flagship VF 9, including the seven-seat VF MPV 7. Meanwhile, the Green brand targets commercial operators with purpose-built mobility solutions.
The overhaul signals a company intent on competing at every tier — from fleet pragmatism to bespoke prestige — as Vietnam’s homegrown automaker accelerates onto the global stage.
