Bounty Fresh eyes wider Southeast Asia expansion

As it marks four decades in the poultry business, Bounty Fresh Group Holdings Inc. is setting its sights beyond the Philippine market, outlining plans to expand further across Southeast Asia as part of a long-term push to become a regional food player.

The company currently operates in three markets—the Philippines, Indonesia, and New Zealand—but sees broader opportunities in the fast-growing Southeast Asian food sector.

“We are eyeing to become a regional player and gain more presence in the Southeast Asian market,” said Edwin Chen, president of Bounty Specialty Foods Inc., highlighting the group’s ambition to scale beyond its domestic base.

The regional push coincides with Bounty’s 40th anniversary in 2026, a milestone that underscores the company’s transformation from a modest farm into a diversified food enterprise.

Founded in 1986 as a small layering farm in Bulacan, Bounty has evolved into a vertically integrated farm-to-market operation. Its portfolio includes brands such as Bounty Fresh, Inoza Feeds, and Chooks-to-Go, with offerings that range from fresh chicken and Golden Yolk eggs to marinated poultry and value-added products like nuggets and chicken popcorn.

The company is also using its anniversary year to strengthen brand engagement. Its “Basta, Bounty Fresh!” campaign highlights how food remains a central expression of care and connection among Filipino families.

At the same time, Bounty is investing in supply chain improvements and new facilities to support expansion and maintain cost competitiveness.

“Bounty’s 40th anniversary is about scaling for the future,” said Kenneth Cheng, CEO and president of Bounty Fresh Group Holdings. “We are gearing up our supply chain and investing in new facilities to keep our service consistent and our costs competitive.”

As it enters its fifth decade, the company is betting that stronger partnerships with growers, continued product innovation, and healthier food offerings will position it well to capture rising regional demand for poultry and prepared foods.
