PHINMA Education adds Southeastern College to network

PHINMA Education is expanding its footprint in the Philippines with the addition of Southeastern College, a move aimed at widening access to affordable higher education for more Filipinos.

Founded in 1946, Southeastern College becomes the 12th institution in the Philippines under PHINMA Education and the 14th across its regional network. Its Pasay campus will be integrated into the PHINMA Saint Jude College system in the National Capital Region, joining existing campuses in Manila and Quezon City.

The expansion is expected to strengthen PHINMA Education’s capacity to serve around 80,000 students across southern Metro Manila and nearby provinces such as Laguna and Cavite.

PHINMA Education Philippines Country Head Happy Tan said the move reflects the group’s mission to help more Filipino students start—and finish—their college education.

“With every school we bring into our network, our focus is helping more Filipino students complete their education and move forward with better opportunities,” Tan said. “Many of our students are the first in their families to go to college. We want them to know that college is possible—and once they begin their journey, we are committed to walking with them every step of the way.”

Southeastern College will adopt PHINMA Education’s student-centered model, which combines effective teaching, career-relevant programs, and strong academic and personal support systems designed to help students stay in school and graduate.

“We are in the business of reducing poverty through education,” Tan added. “We build schools where students are empowered to persist and complete their education.”
