Luzon communities preparing for the annual Flores de Mayo festival now have a chance to receive support from Lalamove through its new initiative, Flores de LALA. The program highlights the effort behind the celebrations, from planning and decorations to organizing processions and church activities.
Five barangays will each win ₱50,000 in cash to help fund their local Flores de Mayo festivities. Interested barangays can apply until April 15, 2026, with winners announced on April 17, 2026.
To qualify, applicants must be Lalamove users in Luzon who have completed at least one Lalamove order in the past six months. They also need to submit a registration form, a Lalamove email and mobile number, and a signed endorsement from their Parish Priest or Barangay Captain. Entries must include a 50–100 word description of what makes their barangay’s Flores de Mayo celebration unique.
Applications will be judged on storytelling, community participation, cultural value, and feasibility. Djon Nacario, Managing Director of Lalamove Philippines, emphasized that the program aims to recognize the behind-the-scenes work that keeps this long-standing tradition alive.
