East West Banking Corporation (EastWest) has partnered with University of Asia and the Pacific (UA&P) to introduce Economic Watch, a weekly email newsletter aimed at helping clients better understand economic trends and make informed financial decisions.
The newsletter provides simplified analysis of key economic issues, including inflation, interest rates, financial markets, and global developments. It combines UA&P’s research expertise with EastWest’s banking experience to present clear and practical insights for a wide range of clients, from individual investors to business leaders.
EastWest chief executive officer Jerry G. Ngo said the goal is to make economic information more accessible and useful, especially in a rapidly changing environment. Meanwhile, UA&P presidenta John Philip R. Yeung said the partnership extends the university’s mission of bringing economic knowledge beyond the classroom and into real-world use.
Economic Watch is distributed weekly to EastWest’s high-net-worth and institutional clients, as part of the bank’s efforts to promote financial awareness and informed decision-making.
