Ayala Corporation has appointed a new leader at Ayala Land Inc., adding another member of the Zobel family to its property business.
Jaime Z. Urquijo, currently Ayala’s chief sustainability and risk officer, will take on the role of head of urban estates at Ayala Land. He will oversee the development of key Metro Manila estates, focusing on building sustainable and distinctive communities.
Urquijo joins other Zobel family members in leadership roles at Ayala Land, including Mariana Beatriz Zobel de Ayala, who leads shopping malls, and Paloma Urquijo Zobel de Ayala, creative director of Ayala Land Hospitality.
Meanwhile, Paolo Maximo F. Borromeo, president and CEO of Ayala Healthcare Holdings Inc., has been given an expanded role. He will serve as Ayala’s chief social infrastructure officer while keeping his current position.
In this new role, Borromeo will oversee Ayala’s healthcare, education, and community development efforts, as well as sustainability, government relations, and external communications.
