Fuel prices surge again; diesel jumps over P12, gas hikes continue

Fuel prices will increase again on Tuesday, March 31, as global oil costs remain high under the ongoing conflict in the Middle East.

Petron, Seaoil, Unioil, and Jetti Petroleum all announced price hikes effective 6 a.m.:

 • Petron: +P1.90/liter (gasoline), +P11.90 (diesel), +P1.40 (kerosene)

 • Seaoil: +P12.50 (diesel), +P2.00 (kerosene); no change in gasoline prices

 • Unioil: +P2.50 (gasoline), +P12.50 (diesel)

 • Jetti Petroleum: +P1.00 (gasoline), +P12.90 (diesel)

Seaoil is the only retailer not increasing gasoline prices this week—the first time this year it has kept them unchanged.

Despite the hikes, increases for gasoline and kerosene are smaller compared to the past three weeks, when adjustments exceeded P5 per liter.

Industry sources said the slower rise is due to easing tensions in the Middle East, which helped lower global crude prices. Gasoline prices stabilized as fears of supply disruptions eased, while diesel prices rose more sharply amid tighter supply.

Latest data from the Department of Energy show average prices in Metro Manila at:

 • P92.50/liter for gasoline

 • P119.20/liter for diesel

 • P153.69/liter for kerosene

The latest adjustments extend the ongoing trend of fuel price increases in recent weeks.
