Converge ICT Solutions Inc. has announced a temporary nationwide speed increase for its FiberX internet plans to help customers cope with rising fuel costs and their impact on daily expenses and mobility.
The company said the move aims to support Filipinos who are staying home more often due to higher commuting costs, allowing them to remain productive and connected.
Company CEO and co-founder Dennis Anthony Uy said the initiative also responds to calls from Ferdinand Marcos Jr. and Henry Aguda to help ease the burden of rising oil prices.
Starting April 1, 2026, FiberX plans will receive an additional 50 Mbps at no extra cost. The speed boost will be available to both new and existing subscribers until April 30, 2026.
Converge said the faster speeds will improve activities such as video calls, streaming, online work, and digital services including banking, e-commerce, and telehealth.
The company added that the program is part of its broader effort to improve digital access and support Filipinos during economic challenges.
