Metro Manila, the country’s main economic and cultural center contributing 31.2 percent of national GDP, is seeing a major boost in digital connectivity as Globe accelerates network upgrades across the region.
Amid rising demand for reliable internet for work, education, and everyday transactions, Globe expanded and enhanced its infrastructure throughout 2024 and 2025. The move reinforced its standing as the country’s most consistent mobile and fixed network, based on Ookla’s assessment for the second half of 2025.
The company rolled out new sites and increased network capacity in key cities, including Quezon City, Makati, Taguig, Manila, and Pasay. These upgrades deliver faster 5G speeds, stronger signals, and improved performance, enabling smoother video calls, streaming, gaming, and online services.
Businesses are expected to benefit from more dependable connectivity to support operations and digital payments, while residents and tourists gain better access to navigation tools, information, and real-time sharing.
To complement the improved network, Globe is also offering budget-friendly data promos such as UNLI 5G 50 and EasySURF 50 5G, aimed at helping users maximize enhanced mobile broadband services.
A Globe official said the upgrades are designed to bring faster, more reliable connectivity to where people live, work, and travel—underscoring the company’s push to strengthen the capital’s digital backbone and support continued economic activity.
