Mastercard and FinVolution Group have launched the Luvit Card, a new payment card that allows Filipinos to make purchases and repay in installments. The card is available as both a virtual and physical option and can be used across Mastercard’s global network of merchants.
Integrated into the Luvit app, the card targets users who may not have access to traditional credit products, providing a streamlined application and payment experience. It can be used for everyday expenses, online shopping, bills, travel, and larger purchases, helping users manage cash flow more effectively.
Jason Crasto, Mastercard Philippines Country Manager, said the card offers “access and flexibility” for millions of Filipinos still lacking formal financial solutions. Francisco Roberto Mauricio, CEO of WeFund, a FinVolution subsidiary, noted that the card uses AI to approve eligible users in minutes, encouraging financial discipline and confidence.
The program is supported by Asia United Bank as BIN sponsor and MatchMove as technology partner. Applications for the Luvit Card are available through the Luvit app, downloadable on major app stores. More information is available at www.luvit.ph.
