SMX Convention Center Clark, a flagship venue of SM Hotels and Conventions Corporation, emerged as a top winner at the Tourism Recognition for Enterprises and Stakeholders (TRES) Awards 2025, organized by the Department of Tourism Region III.
The venue secured Grand Winner honors in both the Tourism Quality Awards for MICE Event Venue and MICE Meeting Room categories, underscoring its leadership in the meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions (MICE) sector.
It also received a Special Citation for MICE Exhibition Venue, reinforcing its position as a preferred site for large-scale events in Central Luzon.
The TRES Awards recognize enterprises and stakeholders that raise tourism and hospitality standards across the region. The latest recognition marks the third consecutive year SMX Convention Center Clark has been honored by the regional tourism body, highlighting its consistent delivery of high-quality event experiences.
Since opening in 2022, the venue has built a strong reputation for its modern facilities, service standards, and event execution, attracting both local and international organizers. Its continued recognition comes as Central Luzon strengthens its role as a key hub for business events outside Metro Manila.
Walid Wafik said the company remains focused on delivering world-class venues and meaningful event experiences as demand for MICE facilities grows.
He added that SMX is set to expand its footprint with the planned launch of SMX Trade Hall Cabanatuan in late 2026, a move expected to boost capacity for high-impact events in the region.
The expansion signals SMHCC’s broader push to capture rising demand for regional convention infrastructure while supporting tourism growth across Central Luzon.
