Puregold Price Club Inc. will recognize the important role of sari-sari stores in Filipino communities during its annual Tindahan ni Aling Puring Sari-Sari Store Convention.
The event will be held from May 14 to 16, 2026 at the World Trade Center Metro Manila. It aims to honor small neighborhood store owners and support their businesses.
Puregold president Vincent Co said sari-sari stores serve as a reliable partner for families, especially as they cope with rising prices. He added that the company remains committed to helping these micro-entrepreneurs grow.
The company also announced that its Tindahan ni Aling Puring loyalty program has surpassed 1 million members, reaching about 1.06 million nationwide. Membership growth has been strongest in Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao.
Activities at the convention will include learning sessions with industry experts to help store owners manage current challenges and prepare for future disruptions.
To further support sari-sari store operators, Puregold has introduced new measures to address rising business costs. These include expanding its network of nearly 1,000 account representatives who deliver goods directly to stores, helping owners save on transportation expenses.
Puregold said it continues to view sari-sari store owners as key partners in economic growth and community support.
