VinFast rolls out EV rental program for drivers in PH, Indonesia

VinFast has launched a new rental program for electric vehicles (EVs) aimed at ride-hailing and transport service drivers in the Philippines and Indonesia.

The program allows drivers to rent EVs from VinFast’s Green lineup through authorized dealerships, offering an alternative to buying vehicles. It is designed to lower upfront costs and help drivers start earning sooner, especially amid rising global fuel prices.

Rental rates start at about P1,000 per day in the Philippines and IDR312,500 in Indonesia. The plan includes low deposits and long-term contracts, making EVs more accessible to drivers who cannot afford full ownership.

For those who prefer to buy, VinFast is also offering flexible financing options tailored to commercial drivers, with lower initial payments and repayment terms aligned with their income.

The program features vehicles such as the Herio Green and Limo Green, which are built for frequent transport use and focus on durability, efficiency, and passenger comfort.

The rollout will begin in Metro Manila and Greater Jakarta, with plans to expand further. Drivers will also benefit from free charging at V-Green stations until March 2029, helping reduce operating costs.

According to VinFast, the initiative supports the shift to cleaner transport, provides drivers with stable income opportunities, and helps reduce emissions in Southeast Asia.
