Axelum budgets P200M capex after record P10B revenues

Axelum Resources Corp. has earmarked around P200 million in capital expenditures for 2026 to expand automation, upgrade machinery, and sustain operations, following a record year that pushed revenues past the P10-billion mark.

The coconut exporter reported consolidated revenues of P10.2 billion in 2025, up 39 percent year on year, driven by stronger volumes and improved pricing across key product lines.

Export sales rose 41 percent, supported by new customer wins and an expanded order book across North America, Europe, Australia, and Asia. Domestic revenues climbed 47 percent, boosted by wider distribution, stronger institutional accounts, and growing online channels.

“Our record performance in 2025 underscores our ability to consistently deliver value amid industry headwinds and global uncertainties,” said Axelum president and chief operating officer Henry J. Raperoga, adding that the company remains focused on sustaining momentum through strategic investments that build long-term resilience and support innovation.

Gross profit increased 34 percent to P2.5 billion, with margins steady at 25 percent despite higher raw material costs. EBITDA rose 30 percent to P1.4 billion, while net income grew 23 percent to P850 million.

The 2026 capex program will fund efficiency upgrades, automation, and maintenance initiatives, while also supporting the rollout of new consumer products in the domestic market and higher-value export offerings aimed at strengthening Axelum’s global positioning amid shifting demand conditions.

Management said the investment pipeline reflects its focus on scaling efficiency, improving margins, and expanding its higher-value product portfolio as global demand for coconut-based ingredients continues to evolve.

The company expects sustained export strength, supported by diversification of markets and continued penetration of institutional and retail channels in both domestic and international segments.
