Fuel prices drop as companies announce rollbacks

Fuel companies implemented price rollbacks on Tuesday, driven by lower global crude oil prices following a two-week ceasefire between the United States and Iran.

Among retailers, Shell Pilipinas announced the biggest cuts, reducing prices by P6.50 per liter for gasoline, P23 for diesel, and P11.50 for kerosene.

Petron also lowered prices, with rollbacks of P4.43 per liter for gasoline, P20.89 for diesel, and P8.50 for kerosene.

Meanwhile, Jetti Petroleum cut diesel prices by P2.70 per liter but made no changes to gasoline prices. The company said its smaller adjustment reflects its decision not to implement planned price increases last week.

According to Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Sharon Garin, the minimum expected rollbacks this week were P4.43 per liter for gasoline, P20.89 for diesel, and P8.50 for kerosene, noting that actual pump prices may vary by station.

DOE data for April 7–13, 2026, show fuel prices in Metro Manila averaging P94.50 per liter for gasoline (RON 91), P153.70 for diesel, and P163.10 for kerosene.
