Max’s commissary extends power supply pact another four years

Aboitiz Power Corp. recently renewed its retail electricity supply partnership with NoBia Inc., the commissary of the Max’s Group of companies.

Aboitiz Power agreed to supply 1,200 megawatts (MW) to NoBia Inc.’s food manufacturing and distribution center in Carmona, Cavite for the next four years.

The facility produces 2,000 metric tons of food a month in support of over 300 retail partner stores. The Max’s Group is the country’s largest casual dining company whose brands include Max’s Restaurant, Pancake House, Yellow Cab Pizza and Krispy Kreme.

The parties did not disclose details to the agreement.

“Our partnership with AboitizPower mirrors our brand values (of being) genuine, thoughtful, and delightful. Leveraging on AboitizPower’s renewable energy not only allows us to serve countless Filipino individuals with our culinary offerings but also adds significant value to the Max’s Group’s mission,” said Cristina Garcia, NoBia Inc. president.

As for Aboitiz Power, it eyes spending P190 billion over the next 10 years to generate an additional 3,700 MW of renewable energy to add to its current portfolio of 4,600 MW.

The long term goal is to triple its portfolio of renewables by 2030.
