The National Treasury on Wednesday awarded in full the P30 billion it offered at the auction of treasury bonds due May 2044.
The average rate on the bonds, originally issued as a 20-year bond with a 6.875 percent coupon, was re-issued at 6.860 percent.
Total tenders stood at P51.1 billion, or 1.7 times the offered amount. With Tuesday’s auction results, the total outstanding volume for the series now stands at P52.7 billion.
In the secondary debt market, 20-year debt papers were quoted at 6.831 percent.
