3.3M Filipinos affected by Kristine -DSWD

The Department of Social Welfare and Development estimates around 3.3 million Filipinos are affected by Tropical Storm Kristine across the country. DSWD spokeswoman Irene Dumlao told a radio interview that the increase from the 2.1 million reported Thursday is due to new data from Central and Northern Luzon. She noted that P111 million in humanitarian assistance and 150,000 food packs have been distributed, in addition to P1.4 billion worth of prepositioned aid. Around 288,000 individuals are currently in 3,300 evacuation centers.
