    Security Bank hosts business forum in Davao City

    Security Bank recently convened its third 2024 Business Forum in collaboration with SyCip Gorres Velayo (SGV) & Co., focusing on “Unlocking Opportunities for Growth and Investment.” The event highlighted Mindanao’s socio-economic development and investment strategies, with insights from key regional leaders.

    Assistant secretary Romeo M. Montenegro of the Mindanao Development Authority emphasized the need for collaboration among local government units to advance the region’s agenda for peace and sustainable development. DTI Region-XI’s director, Romeo L. Castañaga said Davao’s rapid economic growth, citing a 6.7 percent increase in 2023 and the establishment of special economic zones to boost industrial development.

    Legal experts from SGV discussed the value of a family constitution in succession planning, underscoring its role in maintaining family business legacies. Security Bank president Sanjiv Vohra reaffirmed the bank’s commitment to enriching lives and empowering businesses through such forums.

    The event also celebrated the opening of Security Bank’s 330th branch in Mati City, enhancing its service outreach in the community. Previous forums have featured distinguished speakers from the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas and various economic think tanks, reinforcing the bank’s mission to facilitate informed decision-making.
