The Manufacturers Life Insurance Co. (Phils.) Inc. (Manulife Philippines), the local arm of Canadian financial services giant Manulife, has opened its first branch in Nueva Vizcaya, strengthening its presence in Northern Luzon and marking a significant step in its national expansion strategy.
The new branch, located on the ground floor of Zen Hotel in Bonfal Proper, Bayombong, brings Manulife’s branch network in the Philippines to 47. The facility aims to enhance access to the company’s suite of health and financial solutions for clients in Bayombong and nearby municipalities.
“This expansion aligns with our commitment to reach more Filipinos and support them with financial solutions tailored to their life and health protection goals,” said Rahul Hora, president and CEO of Manulife Philippines. “We are proud to serve as a trusted partner in their financial journey.”
The opening was attended by key Manulife executives including Hannah Esguerra, region head; JF Salazar, head of agency strategic initiatives and salaried leaders program; Sailesh Nalinakshan, chief agency officer; Ian Mar Dayot, national agency sales and expansion head; Lisette Aguila, branch head; and John Cesar Agustin, zone head.
The expansion follows a recent accolade for Manulife Philippines, which was named one of the country’s 2025 Trusted Brands by Reader’s Digest, earning a Gold Award in the life insurance category. It is the fifth time since 2017 that the insurer has received the prestigious recognition, underscoring its growing brand credibility in the Philippine market.
Manulife’s expansion into Nueva Vizcaya reflects the insurer’s broader commitment to inclusive growth, leveraging physical presence to foster deeper customer engagement in emerging regional markets.
