Filipino fuel retailer Cleanfuel has partnered with PLDT Enterprise to strengthen its digital infrastructure across nearly 200 stations nationwide, underscoring a major commercial collaboration aimed at operational efficiency and enhanced customer experience.
Under the agreement, Cleanfuel will leverage PLDT’s high-speed enterprise broadband connectivity and dedicated internet access (DIA) solutions to streamline operations at both retail stations and corporate offices. This marks a significant move in Cleanfuel’s digital transformation strategy as the company expands its footprint in the competitive energy sector.
“This partnership with PLDT Enterprise empowers us with the advanced tools necessary to strengthen our digital infrastructure,” said Cleanfuel president and CEO Jesus “Bong” Suntay. “Reliable connectivity is a foundational pillar in enabling seamless operations.”
The deal also includes the deployment of Smart 5G postpaid plans across Cleanfuel branches, enabling real-time data tracking, faster transaction processing, and improved customer support—key innovations for modern fuel service providers.
PLDT Enterprise, the B2B arm of the country’s largest integrated telco, highlighted the broader impact of the collaboration. “By delivering connectivity solutions, we are enabling Cleanfuel to optimize operations and push forward in the country’s digital transformation,” said Mitch Locsin, PLDT and Smart first vice president and head of Enterprise Core Business.
Beyond commercial efficiency, the partnership is aligned with United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 9—focusing on innovation and infrastructure—as both companies aim to contribute to a more sustainable and tech-driven energy landscape in the Philippines.
