PLDT Inc. (PLDT) has expanded its fiber footprint nationwide, further enhancing the experience of its broadband and mobile customers across the country.
As of end-2022, PLDT’s fiber infrastructure stretched 1.1 million kilometers long , consisting of over 231,000 kilometers of international fiber and around 866,000 kilometers of domestic fiber.
This infrastructure also supports Smart Communications’ approximately 76,500 base stations, including more than 7,200 5G base stations and close to about 38,800 LTE base stations nationwide.

PLDT’s fiber infrastructure is present in 68 percent of the country’s cities and municipalities, serving some 17.2 million homes, while Smart covers 97 percent of the population with its 3G, LTE and 5G networks.
