Fortinet has announced major upgrades to its cloud-native security platform, Lacework FortiCNAPP, reinforcing its commitment to code-to-cloud protection. The updates include faster threat detection, deeper visibility, and simplified operations—helping customers secure applications and workloads across hybrid and multi-cloud environments with greater agility.
Key enhancements to FortiCNAPP include:
Real-Time CloudTrail Alerting: Reduces alert latency to under 15 minutes for faster identification of threats like compromised credentials.
Security Graph Explorer: Visual attack path mapping to accelerate investigation and exposure analysis.
Agentless Windows Scanning: Enables vulnerability detection across cloud workloads without deploying agents.
Fleet Management: Provides comprehensive oversight of agent health and deployment across cloud estates.
Additionally, Fortinet introduced enhanced web application and API security bundles, integrating DAST, CDN, and SoC-as-a-Service with AI-driven zero-day threat defenses.
To further streamline procurement and deployment, Fortinet has expanded availability of key services—including FortiAppSec Cloud, FortiMail Workspace Security, FortiNDR Cloud, FortiSIEM, and Fortinet Incident Response Services—via AWS Marketplace. This move simplifies adoption for AWS customers while supporting flexible licensing through FortiFlex, a daily usage-based model aligned with cloud spend commitments.
