Ortigas Land, Inc. has achieved a major sustainability milestone as GH Tower becomes San Juan City’s first LEED Gold-certified prime office building. The 15-storey development, located at the heart of Greenhills Center, was officially awarded the prestigious certification by the U.S. Green Building Council on April 10, 2025, recognizing its high-performance design, energy efficiency, and long-term environmental value.
This achievement aligns with Ortigas Land’s vision of developing future-ready, sustainable estates, and positions GH Tower as a top-tier choice for enterprises seeking smart, eco-conscious workspaces in Metro Manila. Originally launched in 2022 with a LEED Silver target, GH Tower surpassed expectations through improved design, materials, and operational systems.
“Achieving LEED Gold for GH Tower reflects our long-term vision to deliver purpose-led, sustainable developments that enable communities and businesses to thrive,” said Ortigas Land president and CEO Jose Emmanuel ‘Junie’ Jalandoni.
Key features contributing to the certification include a 100 percent double low-E glass curtain wall façade for better insulation and daylighting, renewable energy sourcing, water-efficient plumbing and rainwater harvesting systems, and a greywater recycling system. The building also supports sustainable commuting with bike lanes, shower facilities, and landscaped pedestrian zones.
With over 1,000 surrounding retail and dining options, direct access to GH Mall, and 4,000 parking slots, GH Tower combines environmental performance with strategic location and enterprise-grade efficiency. “This milestone signals our readiness to support businesses seeking spaces that reflect their values and ambitions,” added Javier D. Hernandez, head of the Office Business Unit at Ortigas Land.
GH Tower sets a new benchmark for responsible urban development in the Greenhills area, reinforcing Ortigas Land’s commitment to raising the green standard across its master-planned communities.
