The Bank of the Philippine Islands (BPI) has expanded its Partner Store Services across Robinsons Retail Holdings Inc. (RRHI), allowing customers to withdraw cash for free through the BPI app at RRHI stores nationwide.
The initiative marks one of the largest off-branch banking rollouts in the country, bringing financial services into high-traffic retail spaces. By integrating banking with everyday shopping, the partnership aims to provide greater convenience for BPI’s more than six million app users.
“That is what true convenience means—thinking about what our customers need. The added advantage here is simple: they don’t have to make an extra trip just to withdraw cash. They can do it while doing their groceries, or while shopping at the department store. That’s the kind of seamless experience we aim for, and that’s what this partnership between BPI and Robinsons Retail is all about,” said BPI president and CEO TG Limcaoco.
Customers can withdraw cash without an ATM card by generating a barcode in the BPI app and presenting it at participating RRHI stores. The service is currently available in over 300 food category outlets, including Robinsons Easymart, Robinsons Supermarket, No Brand, The Marketplace, and Shopwise, as well as Robinsons Department Store and Toys“R”Us, with more stores to be added soon.
Withdrawals of up to ₱10,000 per transaction, and up to five times per day, are allowed free of charge, with limits varying by brand. RRHI stores also support account opening, product applications, and withdrawals, with deposit services to follow in phases.
“This partnership is all about making banking possible and accessible and part of everyday life. It’s about helping our customers manage their finances in a way that’s simple, seamless, and right where they need it. Together with BPI we’re not just making grocery shopping easier—we’re changing how Filipinos bank,” said Tin Tueres, managing director of Robinsons Retail’s Food Segment.
