VITRO, BDO team up to strengthen bank’s digital infrastructure

VITRO Inc., the data center unit of the PLDT Group, has partnered with BDO Unibank to bolster the bank’s digital backbone and ensure more reliable, uninterrupted banking services.

Under the partnership, BDO will use VITRO’s network of data centers to support mission-critical functions such as core banking, digital payments, and financial transactions. BDO senior vice president Paul Siy said the bank aims to stay ahead of future needs by relying on secure and resilient digital infrastructure.

VITRO president and CEO Victor Genuino said financial institutions require more than standard IT services—they need partners who understand the scale of their operations. He added that VITRO is committed to supporting BDO’s efforts to provide seamless service to customers.

BDO’s move reflects its broader push for innovation and strong system management. By tapping VITRO’s advanced facilities, the bank aims to keep its digital operations stable, secure, and ready for future growth.

The collaboration also supports the country’s digital transformation. BDO is a key supporter of VITRO Sta. Rosa, the Philippines’ first AI-ready hyperscale data center, helping position the country as a competitive player in the global digital economy. Through financing and tailored banking solutions, BDO is enabling VITRO to build infrastructure that can handle AI workloads, cloud services, and hyperscale deployments.
