Manila Water is urging customers to avail of its free desludging service this December to keep septic tanks in good condition and avoid holiday inconvenience. The company says regular desludging helps prevent tank overflow, foul odors, and health risks from untreated wastewater, while also supporting environmental protection.
The service is offered at no additional cost to customers in the East Zone of Metro Manila and Rizal. Manila Water encourages households to book early to ensure a hassle-free holiday season.
Desludging will be available in December in multiple barangays across Antipolo, Pasig, Cainta, Binangonan, Taguig, Rodriguez (Montalban), San Mateo, Quezon City, San Juan City, Manila, Makati, and Mandaluyong.
Residents are advised to confirm schedules with their barangay offices, make sure an adult is present during servicing, clear access to their septic tanks, and secure pets.
“Regular desludging is one of the most effective ways to protect your family’s health and ensure a worry-free holiday season,” said Jeric Sevilla, Manila Water communication affairs group director.
