Unicapital Inc. has named former Finance Undersecretary Karen Singson as its new managing director.
Singson, a CFA charterholder and Harvard MBA, brings over 20 years of experience in global finance, government service, and investment banking. She previously worked with Swiss Re, Morgan Stanley, and The Boston Company Asset Management, and later advised on major government transactions, including the UCPB recapitalization and the Hanjin Shipyard restructuring. She also led capital markets and M&A advisory for the Philippines at Macquarie Capital.
At Unicapital, Singson aims to expand market access for Philippine businesses by strengthening international investor engagement and integrating digital tools across the deal process. She said her focus is on widening the firm’s deal pipeline and providing “institutional-grade advisory” to help local companies scale.
