GMA Network is revolutionizing its broadcast operations with next-generation IP and cloud delivery, setting a new benchmark for modern broadcasting while cutting costs and streamlining workflows.
Through a strategic partnership with global video technology leader Synamedia and local distributor Telered Technologies, GMA aims to deliver its international channels—GMA Pinoy TV, GMA Life TV, and GMA News TV—more reliably and cost-effectively while expanding its global reach.
The agreement, formalized Dec. 16 at the GMA Network Center in Quezon City, leverages Synamedia’s Quortex Link platform to streamline workflows, cut operational complexity, and scale distribution with agility. The shift from satellite to cloud-based IP solutions allows GMA to reduce costs and enhance efficiency across its international operations.
“Moving from satellite to IP has allowed us to cut costs and streamline operations,” said Joseph T. Francia, GMA International’s head. “With Synamedia’s technology and Telered’s support, we’ve simplified workflows and improved efficiency across the board.”
The cloud-based rollout began in the Middle East and North Africa in 2023, expanded to Asia-Pacific by 2024, and now enters its final phase in the U.S. and Canada, ensuring high-quality viewing for millions of Filipinos abroad.
“GMA provides a blueprint for broadcasters moving from satellite to IP,” said Elke Hungenaert, Synamedia VP. “Quortex Link lets GMA expand partnerships, grow revenues, and deliver a first-class experience to a global Filipino audience.”
By combining innovation with operational discipline, GMA Network strengthens its international presence while setting a new benchmark for modern broadcasting.
