GSIS Touch hits 2M users, boosting digital access for members, pensioners

The Government Service Insurance System (GSIS) has reached a major milestone as its GSIS Touch mobile app surpassed two million registered users, reflecting the growing use of digital services by members and pensioners nationwide.

To mark the milestone, GSIS awarded cash incentives to 201 members and pensioners, with the two-millionth user receiving ₱20,000 and the next 200 registrants ₱2,000 each, credited directly to their GSIS eCard accounts.

GSIS president and general manager Wick Veloso said the achievement shows that digital services succeed when they are designed to meet users’ needs, noting that GSIS Touch helps save time, reduce costs, and eliminate the need for branch visits.

Launched in 2020, GSIS Touch allows members and pensioners to apply for loans, file claims, track transactions, and complete pensioner validation online. By mid-2025, most GSIS transactions were already processed through the app, cutting processing time by more than 70 percent.

GSIS said the two-million-user mark underscores its commitment to expanding accessible, efficient, and convenient digital public services.
