Filinvest Park wins PEZA nod, targets

Filinvest Land Inc. (FLI) has secured Philippine Economic Zone Authority registration for Filinvest Innovation Park – Ciudad de Calamba (FIPC), formally entering the country’s expanding ecozone network and positioning Laguna as a magnet for high-value, export-driven industries.

The 25-hectare industrial park, located in Barangays Bubuyan and Punta in Calamba, was proclaimed a special economic zone under Proclamation No. 1113 signed by Ferdinand R. Marcos Jr. on Dec. 16, 2025. The move aims to accelerate investments, job generation and regional industrial growth.

The Registration Agreement was formalized at the PEZA head office by Tereso O. Panga and FLI Industrial & Logistics Business Unit Head Francis V. Ceballos.

Panga said the registration strengthens Laguna’s push to attract strategic, environment-friendly locators while expanding PEZA’s portfolio of globally competitive ecozones. “We are proud to partner with Filinvest as we advance the country’s ecozone development program,” he said.

For Filinvest, the PEZA stamp is a credibility boost. Ceballos said FIPC is designed to offer a secure and future-ready base for firms eyeing Southeast Asian expansion through the Philippines, backed by the governance and incentives structure of a certified ecozone.

The park forms part of Ciudad de Calamba, a 350-hectare masterplanned township that integrates residential, commercial and industrial components into a single live-work-play estate.

Branded as a modern Filipino-Hispanic community, the development aims to recreate the character of old Calamba while embedding contemporary infrastructure and logistics capabilities.

With PEZA registration secured, Filinvest is now courting export-oriented manufacturers, logistics players and technology-driven enterprises seeking scale, incentives and proximity to Metro Manila’s growth corridor.
